Xiaomi again surprised the technological world. Similar to the case videos with a folding smartphone, again this time they published a video out of nowhere that demonstrates the latest technological shift in the company. This time, they demonstrated the fastest charging of smartphones in the world.
Crazy 100 W fast charging
A video published by Xiaomi co-founder Lin Bin began circulating on the Chinese social network Weibo. The video demonstrates the fastest smartphone charging technology we've ever seen. They called her Super charge turbo.
Xiaomi has been working on it for several months and the smartphone is charging up to 100 W. This is twice as fast charging as Oppo's fastest SuperVOOC (50 W) technology to date. In the video we can see a prototype of a smartphone with 4000 mAh battery, which is from 0 to 100% recharged for crazy 17 minutes!
Redmi will stand for mass production
An independent brand also has a hand in the new Super Charge Turbo charging technology Redmi. Shortly after the video was published, it was also shared by the brand's current director Redmi, Lu Weibing. He wasn't exactly talkative, but he said that he was Redmi will participate in the mass production of this technology.
No further details are known yet as to when we might see the new charging in a real product. However, it is likely that it will be part of the upcoming news with the Snapdragon 855 chipset. The new smartphone could carry the brand Redmi.
However, as Lu Weibing recently pointed out, on Redmi we will have to wait for a smartphone with Snapdragon 855. Maybe because of the development of new charging.
