Chinese manufacturer Xiaomi Recognizes the strong potential of the futuristic folding equipment market and wants to compete with the leader - South Korea Samsung. It is preparing a rival for the current flagship smartphone called Samsung Galaxy ZFold 3, which is officially sold in Slovakia or Czech market.
Will it compete with Samsung's folding smartphone?
Xiaomi already has real experience with folding smartphones. Earlier this year, the manufacturer launched model Mi MIX Fold, the first folding smartphone in the portfolio, which resembled the previous Galaxy Fold model from Samsung. The new report now indicates that the Chinese manufacturer is already working on the new device MIX Fold. This should be in direct competition with the latest model Samsung Galaxy ZFold 3.
These leaks were published by Bald Panda's profile (mediated by the Android Authority portal). The prepared folding model should rather be an evolution, ie an improvement of the original Mi MIX Fold model. The upcoming MIX Fold 2, as indicated by the message, will offer a high refresh rate for both the external and internal screens. There will be a 5000 mAh battery and also fast up to 120 W cable charging.

Nový MIX Fold should have a camera selfie module on its front hidden under the surface of the display. We could already see a similar function in the production version of the new smartphone Xiaomi MIX 4.
As for the improvements over the original version, if they become a reality, they are really significant. Xiaomi Mi MIX Fold from the beginning of this year, it offered only 67 W charging and only the external 6,5 ″ screen offered a high refresh rate.
At present, however, we do not know the date of the performance, the availability or the selling price of this folding smartphone. However, previous leaks have suggested that Xiaomi's folding phone could appear on the market during the fourth quarter of 2021. However, this is unofficial and unconfirmed information.
