Chinese manufacturer Xiaomi this time brings new ones luxury mechanical watch, which as part of their construction will display a simulation of the Earth's rotation. They are available through a crowdfunding platform Xiaomi Youpin and offer several surprising features.
Luxury mechanical watches have a simulation of the rotation of our planet
Xiaomi has a really wide range of products in its portfolio. Nevertheless, the novelty is the segment that we will present to you in today's article. The company is launching its limited edition luxury mechanical watch. The limited series will contain only 1500 pieces of this model of the watch, which will offer even the aforementioned simulation of the rotation of our planet Earth.
This product was launched as a token of appreciation to the Mi community and fans in China for their continued support. In this case, Xiaomi merged with a premium brand CIGA Design and new watches made of stainless steel come with an imaginative design and a high price, which in turn attacks the limit of six hundred euros.
The dial is inspired by the sundial
Mechanical watches come on sale under the official name Xijia Mechanical Watch U Series Blue Planet Edition. However, the extensive name hides a really unique design, which you can see in the photos below.
The body of the watch itself is made of stainless steel and all indications are that the minimal version in the photo is sold with a blue silicone strap.
However, the real curiosity is hidden in the bowels of this watch. It is a specific mobile system with asynchronous tracking technology, which is patented by our own research and development team Xijiawhich, by the way, has been a success in the form of awards Red Dot Supreme Award 2013.
The dial system on the watch is made in two discs. One is static and displays hour information, and the other is dynamic and corresponds to minutes. Thanks to the movement that the dial performs within Earth rotation simulation, the watch is able to display time (hours and minutes) in one place, at the point of collision of both disks.
A very interesting element that attracts attention is also the surface finish of the dial. It uses micro-engraving technology to simulate the relationship between land and sea. With a high degree of detail, it shows the altitude of the mountains, but also the oceans or other terrains, thanks to which the owner of this watch has a truly unique view of the dial.
Price and availability of new watches
As mentioned above, new luxury watches from the Xiaomi brand will only be produced in a limited edition 1500 pieces. They will probably only be available in China through the Xiaomi Youpin crowdfunding platform. The selling price of this watch should be at the level of 4399 Chinese Yuan, thus, in terms of approximately 610 € / 692 USD.
