Xiaomi has a new policy for updating their smartphones. You can receive new versions of the system until 2025

Xiaomi announces a new update policy for its devices. However, it will also focus on smartphones from companies Redmi a POCO. Some models will get up to Android 13.

Up to 3 years of security patches and Android 13

portal Xiaomiui has come up with a claim from trusted sources that the smartphone series Redmi will receive from one to two years of update support, series Redmi Note, Xiaomi Mi series and some smartphones POCO they will receive two to three years of official support.

It's also a good idea to say that this new announced update policy doesn't apply back to older devices, so they're only scheduled to receive one major Android update.

Below you can see specifically which smartphones are affected by this policy, along with what updates specific smartphones will receive.

These smartphones policies include:

smartphones Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G, Redmi Note 11S a Redmi Notes 11 they will receive security updates every 90 days, with the last one coming out in January 2025. Each of these devices can look forward to receiving system updates on Android 12 and Android 13.

smartphones Redmi 10 to Redmi 10 2022 will also receive security updates with a frequency of 90 days, whereby the last one will come on August 2024 (Redmi 10) to December 2024 (Redmi 10 2022). Both smartphones will also get an update to Android 12 and Android 13.

Xiaomi mi 11 ultra gets the last update in April 2024 and also gets Android 12. Xiaomi 11T and 11T Pro they will receive security updates until August 2025 and get if updates on Android 12 and 13.

Xiaomi 11 Lite 5G gets the last update in August 2024 and can look forward to Android 12 and 13. POCO M4 Pro 5G will receive updates until January 2025 and Android 12 and 13. POCO M3 Pro gets the last update in April 2024 and Android 12 and 13.

Redmi Notes 10 5G will receive the last update as well in April 2024 and its final will be Android 12. The same goes for the model Redmi Note 10S. Smartphone Xiaomi Mi 11 Lite 5G will also join these two smartphones and end the journey with Android 12.

Redmi Note 10 Pro will receive the latest security update in March 2024 along with Android 12. Models Xiaomi Mi 10T, 10T Pro and 10T Lite receive updates until October 2023 and their final will be Android 11.

There are only models left Redmi 9 to Redmi Note 9 Pro. You will receive the latest security updates in June 2023 (Redmi 9) to in May 2023 (Redmi Note 9 Pro). The last version of the operating system will be Android 11.
