Spoločnosť Redmi presented the basic model of the series with the label at its press conference today Redmi Note 12 5G. It also has an OLED display, but also a new processor from the company Qualcomm.

smartphone Redmi Notes 12 5G differs slightly from its more expensive siblings. It has dimensions of 165,88 x 76,21 x 7,98 mm and weighs 188 grams. On the front there is an OLED display with a diagonal 6,67" and a resolution of 2400 x 1080 pixels. There is no lack of brightness up to 1200 nits, contrast 4500000 : 1 and high refresh rate up to 120 Hz.
The new generation octa-core processor from Qualcomm will take care of the performance. It is specifically a mid-class model with a designation Snapdragon 4 Gen1, which is made with a 6 nm manufacturing process and supports fast 5G connectivity. This processor is also complemented by an Adreno 619 graphics chip, 8 GB of LPDDR4x RAM and up to 256 GB of UFS 2.2 internal storage (depending on configuration).
After the mobile photo page, the main one is available 48 MPx camera sensor, supplemented by 2 MPx depth sensor (f/2.4). In addition, the front camera has 8 MPx and it is located in the shot in the display, in the upper part of the screen. The smartphone supports 1080p video recording at 30 fps. In this case, the software is supplemented with a graphic superstructure MIUI 13.
Other equipment includes a 3,5 mm audio connector, Wi-Fi 2,4 GHz / 5 GHz, Bluetooth 5.1, a fingerprint reader integrated in the side edge, as well as a battery with a capacity 5000 mAh.
It supports fast 33 W cable charging and a compatible charger from Xiaomi will be included in the package.
Price and availability of a new smartphone
Redmi Notes 12 5G goes on sale in the Chinese market today. It will be available in white, blue and black. We don't have any other information available about international availability yet. These are the official Chinese selling prices in conversion, in individual configurations:
- 4 GB RAM + 128 GB internal storage for only 1199 Chinese yuan (approx. €165)
- 6 GB RAM + 128 GB internal storage for only 1299 Chinese yuan (approx. €178)
- 8 GB RAM + 128 GB internal storage for only 1399 Chinese yuan (introductory offer only €192)
- 8 GB RAM + 256 GB internal storage for only 1599 Chinese yuan (introductory offer only €220)
