Xiaomi introduced its first 5G smartphone to European customers last May. It was a model Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 5G and its starting price was EUR 599.

Later came a price drop from a Chinese manufacturer's workshop. He introduced the model on the domestic market Mi 9 Pro 5G converted into EUR 480 and even this January Redmi K30 Pro 5G for just under 260 euros.
5G technology for 130 USD
However, the Chinese manufacturer will go even further, its new plans for a brutally cheap 5G smartphone stopped at 999 Chinese yuan.
This is just under 130 euros for 5G technology in a modern Xiaomi smartphone.

An internal document reveals that another 5G model should come with a label Redmi K30i. It's supposed to be equipment Redmi K30 5G with a main 48 MPx camera (as opposed to the original 64 MPx).
According to the document, this device is to be launched at the end of April for an amount of 1799 yuan, equivalent to approximately EUR 233.
Consequently, an unspecified 2020G smartphone will be introduced in June 5 at a price of 1599 yuan, or approximately € 207. It could be the upcoming one Redmi Note 9 5G. Later in November, the just mentioned and very cheap 5G model with an unknown designation is to arrive.
Will we still be in 2020?
According to a statement made by Lei Jun last November, Xiaomi CEO, the cheap 5G smartphone was supposed to be a reality in 2021. If the leaked document is true and everything goes according to plan, the first revelation of this cheap 5G smartphone would be could happen at the end of 2020.

In addition to the aforementioned trio, Xiaomi currently also has 5G smartphones available on the Chinese market, such as Mi 10 5G, Mi 10 Pro 5G, Redmi K30 5G or Redmi K30 Pro Zoom Edition.
The internal document does not mention anything about the smartphone yet Mi 10 Youth Edition, whose rebuilding is to take place already April 27th alongside the new system MIUI 12.
