As we already know, smartphones Xiaomi 13T series will be introduced in a few days. The surprise is that smart watches will also be added to them Xiaomi Watch 2 Pro. These will contain the new operating system.
This will be the successor of the model Xiaomi Watch S1 Pro, but with one significant improvement. Xiaomi will drop its own operating system and deploy a popular one Wear OS from Google.
Back to Wear OS
This information was revealed by Xiaomi itself on the social network X (formerly Twitter) with the announcement that the official presentation will take place 26. September.

We could see Xiaomi smart watches with this operating system earlier, they were quite similar to the Apple Watch, but their sales were limited to China.
The Chinese giant is thus returning to its roots, while Wear OS is more usable, thanks to a number of installable applications, but there is also, for example, the possibility of payment via Google Pay.
Top parameters
But the disadvantage will be a shorter duration, so we can forget about two weeks without a charger. According to the leaks, the battery capacity should be 500 mAh, which should be enough for some 3 days of operation.
Next, we expect a processor Qualcomm Snapdragon W5+ Gen 1 along with 2GB of RAM and 32GB of storage. It will be ahead 1,43-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 466 x 466 pixels.
It won't be missed until 150 sports modes along with GPS, certification 5 ATM against water and dust, but not, for example ECG measurement along with other parameters such as heart rate, blood oxygenation, stress and sleep.
Lower price than the competition
As for the price, according to the leaks, the price should be set at 269,99 EUR for the classic version and 329,99 EUR for the LTE version. Other information suggests that the Xiaomi Watch 2 Pro may have an even lower starting price of €249,99 in certain Eurozone markets. These are definitely lower prices than the competition for watches with Wear OS.
Would you welcome Wear OS directly from Google or would you be more satisfied with Xiaomi's own operating system? Do you think Xiaomi can compete on the market with other smart watches with this system from Google, Samsung or Mobvoi?

Definitely with Wear OS. 😉
Well, how do we look at it and from which side, I'm personally a bit surprised that Xiaomi is going to wear OS from Google because they have their own miui OS where the battery life is 10-14 days, it was only necessary to improve it... and that's what I'm afraid that on wear OS from Google, Xiaomi does not have to last even the mentioned 3 days, it will depend a lot on what you have turned on, for example, I currently have a Tic watch pro 5 and I have a 5-6 day battery life, which is fine, but here we are talking about a larger battery capacity of 628 mAh, but let's see to surprise myself, I'm curious how they will work on Wear Os Google
Definitely WearOS, NFC payments will work. I will wait for these, we will see when they come to our market.
The new and cheaper Amazfit Balance with 14-day endurance also has NFC payments.
In my opinion, Wear OS with below-average durability is a step away, and they will have a hard time with the current competition.
Only 365 and prima banka support Zepp pay in Slovakia.
I see that you are not sure about the watch market...Xiaomi S1 active, Xiaomi S1 and Xiaomi S1 Pro you can also pay with them, they have NFC but much better endurance up to 14 days, what can't be said about the new S2 pro 3 days maybe ??? Transition to wear OS from Google? I don't understand this step of theirs since Xiaomi has its own OS... thumbs up 👍 to such an Amazfit own OS that is progressing, they are improving it and the latest Amazfit balance NFC payments last 14 days improved health and sports functions this is a step forward but Xiaomi has taken a step by switching to wear OS from Google next to me 🤔🤔🤔
I am talking about the support of the banks, in which I am right. You are probably talking about payment via Curve card. Probably, their os will have quite decent restrictions when they switch to google. I prefer openness and options even at the expense of the battery. We agree to disagree. I take WearOS.
Hello,
I have two questions please.
1) 5 ATM resistance - can you really swim with it for a while? I had an Amazfit GTR and after 10 minutes in a lake in Austria it died and water got inside so I would hate to deal with the same problem with another watch
2) LTE version – does this mean that they will/have eSIM support and will be able to make calls from them?
Díky
5 ATM is water resistance up to 50 meters. The watch can withstand swimming without any problems. The LTE version has eSIM support and you can make calls directly from them.
