Xiaomi is apparently preparing a new smartphone. So far, the only thing we know about it is that it should be powered by a Snapdragon 870 processor. It is a really powerful processor, which also has support for 5G networks.
Starring Snapdragon 870
The processor from Qualcomm, specifically the Snapdragon 870 type, is quite popular in the company. It is currently located in three Xiaomi facilities. Specifically in smartphones Xiaomi Mi 10S, Xiaomi Mi 11X and in a tablet My Pad 5 Pro.
The smartphone should have a curved display on the sides with little space for a selfie camera. According to the leaks, it should have a resolution of 20 MPx. The display will have Full HD resolution with a 120-hertz display refresh rate. Its diagonal remains unknown.
The main rear camera should have a resolution of 108 MPx. There was also information that the smartphone should also have a telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom. However, this is not certain and can only be a rumor. We also expect to use an ultra-wide angle lens, which is now in almost every Xiaomi smartphone.
The battery will please with a capacity of 5 mAh and the charging speed will reach 000 W. There is no known special function that a smartphone should have. That's all of the revealed specifications so far. We have no news about the name of the smartphone or availability in specific markets.
Will it be available globally?
Since Xiaomi has a Snapdragon 870 processor so far only in devices that have not officially entered the European market (the Xiaomi Mi 11X model is intended for India), we can assume that this upcoming smartphone could be another exclusivity for the domestic Chinese or Indian market.
As we already know, Xiaomi itself will reveal other information on its social networks. We in the newsroom are also curious what this Chinese giant is up to us.
