The very successful series of flagship Xiaomi Mi was started by the equally successful first model Xiaomi Mi 1. Exactly one year after it, a new model is introduced on August 16/2012 Xiaomi Mi 2.

The new Mi series phone was introduced in August / August, but it was launched about two months later. Compared to the first version of the smartphone of the same series, the Mi 2 received a larger display and better equipment.

The diagonal of the display has grown to 4,3 inch and covered 65,2% of the front area of the smartphone. Resolution has reached level 720 x 1280 pixels in a 16: 9 aspect ratio, with a pixel density of 342 ppi.
processor Qualcomm APQ8064 Snapdragon S4 Pro had 4 cores clocked at 1,5 GHz. It was a complete novelty among processors and the Mi 2 was the first smartphone in the world to power it. The graphics chip has been marked as Adreno 320.
Two memory versions and MIUI 4
Two memory versions were also available from this smartphone. Both small 2 GB RAM and were equipped 16 GB or 32 GB repository. After launch, the Mi 2 had a pre-installed Android 4.1 Jelly Bean operating system and a software extension MIUI 4.
Later, this smartphone was updated to version MIUI 9, 5 years after its launch. In addition to all the benefits of Android and MIUI, a voice assistant was also available.
Two cameras are available from the multimedia equipment - front and rear, speaker and 3,5 mm audio connector. The rear camera consisted of a 27 mm lens and a system of five lenses. She was able to photograph in resolution 8 MPx and scan 1080p video at 30 frames per second. The focal aperture was f / 2.0 and a pixel size of 1,4 microns.
In addition, the camera supported autofocus, HDR and LED flash illuminated. The front camera took pictures in resolution 2 MPx and was also able to capture FullHD video at 30 fps. The smartphone was also equipped with an FM Radio and a notification LED.
In terms of connectivity, the Xiaomi Mi 2 supported WiFi 802.11 b / g / Bluetooth connectivity was in version 4.0. Location services were based on A-GPS, GPS and GLONASS. There was also a microUSB connector in the lower smartphone part.
The Xiaomi Mi 2 battery had a capacity of 2 mAh, and it was possible to order a version with a 000 mAh battery. However, it was two millimeters thicker. In Xiaomi, they put this pile of above-standard equipment back into a great price. The Xiaomi Mi 3 comes on sale for 000 yuan, which is approximately 263 € / 6 614 CZK.
April / April 2013 brings other versions of the smartphone and with them the announcement that Xiaomi is officially entering the market in Hong Kong and Taiwan.
Xiaomi Mi 2S
The new version is an exact copy of the model from 2012. However, it comes with minor improvements. The first is an improved processor, which is also marked, but is clocked at 1,7 GHz.
This model also comes in two memory versions with 16 GB and 32 GB storage. A larger memory version also brings a better camera. He has a resolution 13 MPx and aperture f / 2.2. Other parameters are identical to the equipment of the Mi 2 model.
The selling price of the smaller memory version remained the same. The Mi 2S, with its better camera and larger storage, sold for 2 yuan, calculated 302 € / 7 595 CZK.
Xiaomi Mi 2A
This version already has more differences from the original model and its main feature was the low price. The manufacturer wanted with a price of 1 yuan (499 € / CZK 4) to bring a high-quality smartphone even for less solvent clients.
The surprise was that the cheaper smartphone was equipped by the manufacturer with a larger display. It had a diagonal of 4,5 inches and at the same HD resolution as previous models had a pixel density of 326 ppi.
Dimensions have also increased in value 133 x 66.5 x 9.5 mm, but the weight decreased to 133 g. The cheaper version of the flagship was equipped with a dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 MSM8960T processor with a frequency of 1,7 Ghz per core.
The Mi 2A came with 1 GB of RAM and 16 GB of storage, and the interesting thing is that the manufacturer equipped this smartphone with an NFC module. The battery had a capacity of 2 mAh and the rest of the equipment remained unchanged from the Mi 030.
