Since its inception, the Chinese manufacturer Xiaomi has made no secret of the fact that it also seeks inspiration from its competitors. With the new HyperOS operating system, it looks to Apple again and brings its "dynamic cut-out" version.
Xiaomi and "dynamic cutout"
The innovative software, which is currently being prepared for the global market, developed by Xiaomi, hides a secret that many fans do not know. This is a function known as "dynamic view" or Dynamic Islands, which appeared at Apple's presentation.
Active elements in the cutout area in the display for the front camera arrived last year with the series Apple iPhone 14 Pro and the function continues in the current series of smartphones AppleiPhone 15.
From our own experience, we can state that this is an interesting function, especially if it is also supported by third-party applications that can show you practical data during use (e.g. taxi time or stopwatch).
A new HyperOS function even for cheaper devices
Xiaomi wants to bring this feature to more affordable devices, such as the iPhone 15 series. The feature should be part of the HyperOS update for global versions of smartphones Redmi Notes 12, POCO F5 Pro me too Xiaomi 11t.
This dynamic notch feature adds a subtle yet useful element to the user interface. When you perform certain actions, such as activating a hotspot, connecting a charger, or turning off your phone, a black bar will appear around the notch area to display notifications. Users will thus be more quickly informed about the status of their device.
Xiaomi went a step further by expanding support for third party applications. However, adoption of this feature by third-party app developers is currently limited. The reason is primarily the global release of HyperOS, given that developers need time to integrate this unique feature into their applications.

It's a useful thing, but they could have done better in terms of design. It seems so messed up in a hurry, just to be.
