Xiaomi is preparing a big conference for December 28, where it will present its most anticipated news. The Chinese giant is already publishing classically posters and reveals the biggest draws. Xiaomi 12 will rank among the compact smartphones.
Finally compact Xiaomi
The new information relates to the display used and its size. Reports confirming that the new flagship Xiaomi 12 will include a 6,28-inch AMOLED display are confirmed.
It's a real leap since its predecessor Xiaomi Mi 11 had a diagonal of up to 6,81 inches. We will be able to classify the Xiaomi 12 model among compact smartphones, which is almost a rarity today. Compact smartphones are still produced by Apple with its mini variant, which has only a 5,4-inch display.
The display itself will cover the Corning Gorilla Glass Victus, so the best that Xiaomi has to offer today. A bit of a concession and a step back will be the resolution itself, which will be Full HD +.
The previous generation had WQHD resolution (3 x 200 pixels). Reducing the resolution also makes sense to reduce the panel itself, and the average user will not even notice it.
Since these will be more compact devices, it is logical that higher resolution would also have higher power consumption. You simply can't put a battery as big as a 6,8-inch body in a smaller body. Xiaomi does everything to ensure that the Xiaomi 12 smartphone has the best endurance.
The display will have top parameters
The display will boast parameters such as 10-bit color depth, a maximum brightness of 1 rivets and DisplayMate A + certification. The promotional poster even shows that the width of the body will be 600 mm, which is less than, for example, the iPhone 69,9 model.
We expect the company to release more posters in the coming days and reveal new features that have not yet been discovered. We wouldn't be angry if Xiaomi showed the back of the upcoming flagship.
