After yesterday's Chinese introduction of new smart TVs, Xiaomi today moved to India, where it introduced a new affordable smartphone Redmi Y3. It has very similar specifications as the Redmi 7, but brings a better quality selfie camera.
32 MPx selfie camera as the main attraction
Redmi Y3 tries to attract especially young people. The biggest attraction of the news is 32 MPx selfie camera, which is equipped with artificial intelligence for beautification Beautify 4.0 and artificial intelligence for portrait photography.
The camera uses 1.6µm 4-in-1 Super Pixel Sensor s aperture f / 2.25, which in cooperation with the illumination through the screen will create a quality selfie even in low light conditions. The sensor also has a wide angle of view of 80 °, which is suitable for group selfie photos.
Hardware from Redmi 7
Redmi Y3 is a kind of improved version of Redmi 7. Enhanced with a higher quality selfie camera. The main hardware is exactly the same. Redmi Y3 is powered by an 8-core Snapdragon 632 processor with a clock speed of 1,8 GHz and a graphics chip Adreno 506. Versions p 3/4 GB RAM a 32/64 GB storage.
He occupies the front 6,26 ″ HD + display with a raindrop-style cutout. The decent one takes care of the power supply 4000 mAh battery with classic charging.
It is still on the back dual 12 MPx + 2 MPx camera with a pixel size of 1.25μm and an aperture of f / 2.2. The video camera records video in maximum 1080p quality at 60 fps.
Additional equipment includes face unlocking, fingerprint sensor on the back, 3,5 mm jack, IR Blaster for controlling home appliances, microUSB connector, separate slot for microSD cards and also interesting support B20 (800 MHz) LTE bandwhich is used mainly in Europe. Should Xiaomi plan to introduce this smartphone in our markets as well? We will see.

The new Redmi Y3 is available today in India for 9999 Indian rupees for the 3 + 32 GB version, which is 130 € / 3300 CZK.
The higher 4 + 64 GB version comes out domestic to 11 Indian rupees, which is ours 155 € / 3945 CZK. In addition to the classic black, the smartphone is also available in a much more interesting gradient blue and red.
