One of the company's latest flagship smartphones Xiaomi, model Xiaomi 13T, has been tested in tests DxOMark. The result surprised him.
Xiaomi 13T: This is how it fared in the DxOMark tests
Global model Xiaomi 13t submitted to testing its photographic properties. Portal DxOMark reported on the strengths and weaknesses of this device. But let's see what this smartphone offers in its equipment.
Part of the equipment is the main one 50 MPx sensor with Leica improvements (f/1.9), with PDAF focusing and optical image stabilization. This sensor is also supplemented by 12 MPx (f/2.2) ultra-wide-angle camera and also a novelty in form 50 MPx telephoto lens (f/1.9) with double optical zoom.
What are the shortcomings?
In tests DxOMark the Xiaomi 13T ranks up to the 60th place in the current worldwide ranking with profit 123 points. Why is that so? Photos in difficult lighting conditions are proof of embarrassing results. In the direct comparison below, you can view Google's Pixel 7a and the 13T model.
Although the photo of the Xiaomi 13T smartphone seems to have a better dynamic range, because it also shows the sky behind the window, it cannot reliably and accurately capture the faces of the people in the photo. This is actually a serious contrast problem.
In the next comparison, we can look at the comparison of the ultra-wide-angle camera Xiaomi 13T, Pixel 7a, and also the Xiaomi 12T Pro. All three devices bring a different result, but at the same time, none of them is perfect. The Xiaomi 12T Pro and Pixel 7a offer slightly better results, ahead of the Xiaomi 13T. The photo is clearer and the hair of the people in the photo is easier to recognize.
Software modifications are very important
Modern smartphones usually apply a software process to enhance the image after it is captured. The Xiaomi 13T also offers the same process. After additional processing of the photo below, we can be quite satisfied with the result, because the integrated software of this smartphone found a suitable balance between the light and dark areas of the photo.
The results point to a good camera setup and software improvements, in collaboration between the brands Xiaomi a Leica. The only exception is challenging lighting conditions, which can bring unexpected results. If you want to read the entire test on the DxOMark website, you will find it in the following link.
