Popular graphics add-on MIUI should arrive in its fifteenth generation on the occasion of the introduction of a new flagship series Xiaomi 14. Xiaomi is currently tuning it for these models, and we know new details from information leaks.
Xiaomi 14 and 14 Pro: MIUI customized
Codenames for two more flagship smartphones from Xiaomi have appeared on the Internet. The Chinese technology giant does not only develop devices for its domestic market, but also their global versions.
Portal GSMChina revealed Xiaomi 14 a Xiaomi 14 Pro already in leaks from the IMEI database, while their Chinese introduction is expected at the end of autumn. These fourteenth series Chinese devices are codenamed 23127PN0CC and 23116PN5BC. As for the global versions, they have a different designation as 23127PN0CG and 23116PN5BG.
The latest information from the Xiaomiui source indicates a relatively early development of the MIUI graphics superstructure for both flagships. According to this source, the Chinese side of the Xiaomi brand started testing MIUI as early as April 25, 2023, that is, two days before the development began MIUI Global. (designation MIUI-V23.4.25 for China and MIUI-23.4.27 for global customers).
Will the new Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor also arrive?
As you can see in the screenshots below, Xiaomi is testing its MIUI skin for devices codenamed "Houji" and "Shennong". These nicknames should belong to a pair of smartphones Xiaomi 14 a Xiaomi 14 Pro and consequently the global versions of these devices also have them.
Like the previous flagships, the monikers have their roots in mythology, with the "Houji" being referred to as Hou Ji in some sources. The same names for upcoming smartphones were also confirmed by another reliable and well-known source of information leaks, Digital Chat Station.
Among other information leaks, we can mention the processor that the upcoming product should become Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. It should be officially presented in November. And the Xiaomi 14 and Xiaomi 14 Pro should be one of the first smartphones with this processor. In addition, a fairly significant improvement compared to last year's series is the support of the USB 3.2 standard.
