In addition, there is a pair of chips inside for higher signal quality - PA (amplifier) effectively increases signal transmission performance, LNA (low noise amplifier) improves signal reception sensitivity. The manufacturer has not forgotten about the efficient cooling, which it even takes care of a pair of passive coolers. This will ensure even more stable performance.
Made for Xiaomi smart home devices
A novelty compared to the previous cheap Xiaomi router is the dual-band standard 802.11ac. This way I can broadcast routers on 2.4 and 5 GHz frequencies, where the maximum theoretical speed is 1167 Mbit / s. Also new is the integration of two WiFi names into one - if you use both frequencies. You won't get tangled up in WiFi names.
Mi WiFi Router 4A is designed to connect many devices. They are optimized mainly for devices from the Xiaomi ecosystem, but of course I can handle others. However, the advantage of connecting Xiaomi devices is, for example, that you do not have to enter a password.
When you change the password, the router automatically syncs with all connected devices. This way, your smart home will always be in full operation. 64 MB RAM v Mi WiFi Router 4A allows you to connect up to 64 devices simultaneously.
The enhanced Mi WiFi Router 4A Gigabit Edition includes up to 128 MB RAM memory and also has gigabit ethernet port for an even faster connection. The classic version offers a maximum of 100 Mbit connection. He also got more powerful dual core processor with a clock speed of 880 MHz, thanks to which it processes tasks even faster.
IPv6 support and parental controls
IPv6 protocol support in turn, it addresses the lack of address space with the older IPv4 protocol. Mi WiFi Router 4A can be used without problems in large corporations or universities. This feature will be available for routers from May 2019.
The news also includes wider options for parental control. If your children already use the Internet, the new routers give you full control over the displayed content. Mi WiFi Router 4A can recognize the suspicious device on the net. It immediately reports such a situation by notification via the application. The user can disconnect the wrecker with a single button. At the same time, complete management of the router settings is possible via the Mi WiFi application, even remotely.

All of these features look amazing and expensive. However, this is not the case with Xiaomi.
