Xiaomi, together with the experienced manufacturer of gaming peripherals MIIIW, which belongs to the Xiaomi ecosystem, released a mechanical keyboard that impresses not only with its functions, but also with its unique design. The keyboard is called MIIIW BlackIO Z980X and has just gone on sale in a crowdfunding campaign.
MIIIW BlackIO Z980X – breathtaking design
At first glance, one notices that this keyboard is different. Its unique transparent design is not only very modern and stylish, but also adds an industrial spirit to the keyboard. Not only the keys of the keyboard are transparent, but also its body and the switches themselves.
In short, in terms of design, it is a real collector's item. The built-in RGB backlight then ensures that the keyboard is customized exactly as the user imagines it.

However, this keyboard will not only impress you with its design. It has a classic layout with 98 keys and are used in it are unique Kailh Jellyfish switches. Kailh switches are mostly known as a cheaper but equally high-quality equivalent of Cherry MX switches.
Kailh Jellyfish is a unique variant with a linear movement (like Cherry MX Red, for example), but with a distinct "clicking" sound when pressed. The switches in this keyboard are hot-swappable, which means you can replace them with a different type if they don't fit you.
The keyboard has open-source drivers, in which you can set macros, or rearrange the keys themselves. RGB Of course, the backlight can also be controlled directly with shortcuts on the keyboard. Since this is primarily a wireless keyboard, it is provided 4000 mAh battery with a duration of up to 200 hours.
Connectivity
You can connect the MIIIW BlackIO Z980X keyboard to your device in three ways, the easiest being directly attached USB-C cable.
Also included is a 2.4 GHz USB receiver for connecting a computer or laptop. However, you can connect the keyboard without it directly via Bluetooth, for example with a phone or tablet.
The MIIIW BlackIO Z980X keyboard is currently available for sale only in the home country of China in a crowdfunding campaign for 799 yuan (€115), but after its end it will go on sale for 999 yuan (€144).
