Xiaomi is already preparing for next summer and is adding a new product to its portfolio of smart home devices. Xiaomi Mijia smart air conditioning brings interesting functions for an even more interesting price. This is a cheaper variant of the Xiaomi Smartmi air conditioner, the price of which was at the level of 559 € / CZK 14.
Modern design and low energy consumption
Xiaomi Mijia smart air conditioning got a simple but at the same time modern design. It does not look extravagant, so it fits into every household. Like most other Xiaomi products, the new air conditioner has gained design award Good Design Award 2018.
Gro construction consists of high quality ABS material. Although the air conditioning unit is designed for the interior, the material is resistant to various weather conditions (if anything). The pure white front is inhabited only by a large one round LED display, located in the lower right corner. It shows the set temperature and the selected mode.
Xiaomi is really proud of the presentation of the new air conditioner low energy consumption with an APF value of 4,75 (Annual Performance Factor). The national standard for China was set at APF 4,5, which means that Mijia smart air conditioning is a leader in low energy consumption. The manufacturer claims that the energy consumption of its product is up to 20% lower than in the case of competitors.
Low noise and control via application
Low power consumption is ensured thanks to a technology called "full DC frequency conversion". That's why the air conditioning has earned it the highest rating for energy efficiency - Level 1. Like most air conditioners, Xiaomi can heat in addition to cooling. A room with an area of 16 - 23 m can cool / heat2 and at really low noise, only 22 dB. The highest noise level of the indoor unit is 42 dB, while the outdoor unit is 52 dB. Heating takes place at a power of 900 W and air conditioning can recirculate the air volume 680m3 in one hour.
The dampers through which the air flows can be set at a 60 ° horizon. He 's not missing either antibacterial filterwhich is easy to wash. The air conditioning is controlled via the application on the smartphone and the temperature can be adjusted to the nearest 0,1 ° C. In the options, you will also find the setting of the air flow speed, the flap angle, the brightness of the LED display and much more.
Xiaomi Mijia smart air conditioning also comes with by voice control via XiaoAI assistant. However, for voice control, you would need to learn Chinese, as he does not yet understand other languages. A classic remote control is also supplied with the air conditioning. The dimensions of the indoor unit are 879 x 293 x 212 mm with a weight of 10,5 kg. The outdoor unit measures 860 x 549 x 331 mm and weighs 29 kg. Both units are designed for wall mounting.
Cheapest smart air conditioner?
Like every product from Xiaomi, new Mijia Smart air conditioners stick to the idea of offering the best performance at the lowest possible price. The price tag of this smart household gadget was set at 319 € / CZK 8300. The manufacturer is so sure of this product that he offers warranty up to 6 years. Compared to the competition, this is a really affordable price tag. However, it is questionable whether air conditioning will also be included in the offer of sellers exporting to Europe and what price list they will set for us.
