Just recently a Chinese company POCO revealed at its global conference next generation your cheap 5G smartphone. But what are the differences from the previous model? Let's look at the differences together.
Slightly different back and almost identical display
In terms of design, not much has changed. The back side is again plastic and here too we encounter something interesting POCO by design. The previous model was more reminiscent of the Samsung Galaxy S21 series with its camera module and black line. A new generation of differently directed black elements with an inscription POCO rather it refers to the model Xiaomi mi 11 ultra.
The palette of offered colors is in the same trio as at POCO M3 Pro 5G and you can choose from black, blue and yellow. The blue color variant, however, appears slightly lighter.
As the novelty has a slightly larger display, the dimensions have increased slightly and the weight has increased by a negligible 5 grams.
Even when we sketched the display, there were not many changes there. It is still an LCD panel, not AMOLED, with Full HD resolution and a high refresh rate of 90 Hz. The sampling frequency was increased from 180 to 240 Hz. Both models are protected by durable Gorilla Glass 3.
The selfie camera in the shot is of better quality. This is due to the sensor with a resolution of 16 MPx compared to 8 megapixels in POCO M3 Pro 5G.
More powerful MediaTek and finally wide
The shift occurred in the field of performance. POCO again reached for a processor from MediaTek, namely the Dimensity 810 model with 5G connectivity. The previous model already knew that, but the increase in performance is present here.
Up to 6 GB of DDR4 RAM and up to 128 gigabytes of storage with support for microSD cards up to 1 TB are the same.
Interesting things happened in the camera area. The resolution has increased from 48 to 50 MPx, but the more interesting element is the deployment of an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle sensor. The previous generation lacked a POCO it only put a pointless 2-megapixel macro sensor there.
Higher charging speed, but also price
The battery did not increase and again we have a very decent 5 mAh. With the improvement, the charging speed has changed from 000 to 18 W. The manufacturer has not forgotten about NFC again and adds stereo speakers to all this.
But there is a noticeable increase in prices. While POCO The M3 Pro 5G started at 179,99 euros, the new product starts at 229 euros. But it's still an excellent purchase.
