If you own one of these smartphones from the series Redmi or POCO, update to Android 14 she was the last one. On the page Xiaomi Security Center five specific models were published which already Android 15 they don't get. But the community has reason to be angry.
With this Redmi a POCO smartphone support will end prematurely
The affected smartphones are Redmi Notes 12 Pro 5G, Redmi Notes 12 Pro 4G, Redmi Notes 12, POCO M5 a POCO X5 5G. These were released with the operating system Android 12. They got an update on Android 14 and according to the latest news, they won't get another big update.
The support was quite short, which certainly does not make the users of these phones happy. Surely you too would like your smartphone to be supported longer, even if it does not come from the highest price category. However, when you compare it with the competition, the latter in the vast majority of cases offers one more year of support for the Android version in addition.
Another possible problem is the release of devices from the series Redmi Footnotes with outdated Android. The latest series is also a prime example Redmi Notes 13, which the manufacturer issued with Android 13 in spite of Android 14 it was already in the world, in a stable version.
Users of the five mentioned devices will probably have to make do with s Android 14. The community is asking the manufacturer for one more year of support given that these are 2022 to 2023 models. A large number of people will find it very unreasonable not to release an update to Android 15. We will see how the situation develops, but so far it does not look very positive.
Xiaomi redmi note 13 for 5g. Still on MIUI 14
Change the country, for example: India, Poland, etc. and you have an update in a few seconds instead of waiting for someone in Slovakia to do something. I've had Hyper os for a good 2 months.
What good is a phone that won't have updates. I'll pay €250 for it and the update will be for one year. So let them keep such a phone.
