A subsidiary brand of the Chinese technology giant Xiaomi, company Redmi, is preparing its new mid-range devices and will also be the first manufacturer to offer a new powerful chipset in this price category MediaTek.

Just a few hours ago, the brand us MediaTek has officially introduced its new and powerful chipset with the label MediaTek Dimensity 1080 5G. It stands out especially with its 6 nm production process, as well as the ability to support cameras with a resolution of up to 200 MPx.
And shortly after the show, a well-known whistleblower with the nickname Digital Chat Station brought us the first information leaks. He revealed that the new processor will probably be included in the equipment of mid-range devices from the brand Redmi. Specifically within the series Redmi Footnote 12.
Dimensity 1080 5G will support up to 200 MPx camera
This series of devices should be revealed in the near future and Dimension 1080 5G will be just one of the improvements that will take place compared to the previous generation. Redmi however, it will not be the only manufacturer to use the given processor in its mid-range models. He also wants to reach for the given model Realme or Honor.
This new MediaTek processor is built on the foundations of the model Dimensity 920. This was a fairly powerful processor that we could see in several devices of the Xiaomi ecosystem, such as Redmi Note 11 Pro + 5G. It has eight cores in a configuration of 2 x Cortex-A78 clocked at 2,6 GHz and 6 x Cortex-A55 clocked at 2 GHz.
In addition, the new processor supports Full HD + refresh rate screens up to 120 Hz, LPDDR4x or LPDDR5 type RAM memory, fast UFS 2.1 and 3.2 internal storage or a relatively extensive wireless connection via 5G, Wi-Fi 6 or Bluetooth 5.2. Based on these attributes, we can already guess the equipment elements of the series Redmi Note 12. It could also include the mentioned 200 MPx sensor.
