Xiaomian, as an innovator in technology, not only in the smartphone industry, he knows well that he must not rest on his laurels. That's why the company only recently patented its new, quite unconventional design folding smartphone.
Folding and sliding smartphone in one?
Yes exactly. The upcoming smartphone should carry just such an idea, and according to the patent and the overall concept of the smartphone, it will be just this type. The last sliding smartphone, which was in the spirit of the concept shown below, we could see for the last time with a smartphone Mi Mix 3.
It worked on a perfect principle sliding mechanism, where usefulness was combined with practicality. Despite a great innovation and a different solution that we have ever had the opportunity to see, the smartphone has not been very successful. However, it was not because of the smartphone as such, but because of its price.
In the picture below, however, we can see a considerable resemblance to a smartphone Galaxy fold from Samsung, whether first or second generation. The flexible display in combination with the folding mechanism is an interesting thing, but Xiaomi decided that it still lacked something. That is something retractable mechanism.
Of course, in addition to the flexible part, we can also find here rigidwhich will be equipped just secondary display with pull-out mechanism. It will serve to quick action, such as calls, text messages or just checking the time or notification.
We should also find under the pull-out mechanism itself a pair of selfie cameras, which, however, can easily serve as a primary rear, in the case of opening the smartphone. But since the smartphone will probably have up to 4 primary cameras on the back, which will certainly be of better quality, this alternative is quite unnecessary.
This whole concept is very interesting, but also quite complicated. Especially for commercial use. Despite the fact that it is Xiaomi who tries to bring smartphones always behind best prices on the market, in this case it would certainly not be a cheap salvation.
