Just a few weeks ago, the Chinese giant presented us with a multifunctional and rechargeable lamp that, through magnetic technology, brings more uses in one body.
However, that is not all in the portfolio of innovative lamps, and at the press conference we also saw another interesting product that bears the label Xiaomi Mijia PIPI Desk Lamp.
This lamp reacts to various external stimuli, has a touch-sensitive surface and supports touchless gestures. The lamp can even change its brightness and light intensity, depending on the situation. According to the manufacturer, the lamp can demonstrate three mood modes, based on the well-known and used PAD emotional model.
New lamp Xiaomi Mijia PIPI Desk Lamp has a built-in interactive AI camera, which uses an algorithm to detect the key points of the user's hands. It has recognition of various gestures in the space around the lamp with low latency. Your gestures are thus transformed into the execution of the function extremely quickly.
Available touchless gestures include motions to turn the light on and off, adjust the brightness, and adjust the lighting angle. In addition, the lamp can adjust the lighting angle according to the user's position.
You can even pet the lamp and it rotates its head to do so emotional expressions, for example. snuggling or blinking to get your attention. However, he can also get angry when the structure is shaken. The manufacturer also presents this product as a kind of pet that interacts with your presence in the immediate vicinity.
Due to the fact that it is smart lighting, the lamp is also connected to a well-known mobile application Xiaomi Home. You can also adjust the lamp settings in this application. In addition, there is no lack of lighting color regulation, continuous dimming and it also has a shade, for even better comfort during use.

Price and availability of a new product
Lamp with official marking Xiaomi Mijia PIPI Desk Lamp is starting to be sold on the well-known Chinese crowdfunding platform Xiaomi YouPin, in a black color version. The official selling price stopped at the value 499 Chinese Yuan, which in current conversion amounts to approx. 66 €. However, we do not yet have any further information on possible international availability.
